What story lies behind your stage name?

Sienna is a reference to Tuscany, where I come from, as well as to the sienna pigment, reminiscent of the rosy tones of my cheekbones. “Boheme” reflects my free spirit, my carefree side and my love of life. It is also a nod to Puccini’s opera La Bohème, because singing is an important part of my artistic identity too.

What is your story with dance?

I grew up in Florence, in a family completely immersed in the arts. My father is a musician and my mother was a dancer. I naturally started singing and dancing from a very young age with my parents. I took classes in ballet, contemporary dance and jazz. At eighteen, I left Italy for New York to attend a musical theatre school, which gave me the opportunity to perform all over America. I then moved to London to join the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts for a master’s degree. A few months after graduating, I came across an audition notice for Crazy Horse Paris. I had been fascinated by Crazy Horse Paris since high school, after discovering the venue in Beyoncé’s Partition music video. So I decided to take my chance. Crazy Horse Paris called me and asked if I could start ten days later. I was stunned. I barely had time to let the dream sink in before it was already coming true! It was absolutely incredible and incredibly exciting. So I said yes — and here I am in Paris!

Who is Sienna Boheme?

Sienna Boheme is my alter ego. When I do my makeup before the show, something shifts inside me. Sienna Boheme emerges. On stage, her magnetism commands attention. She can hold the room through the intensity of her gaze alone. To me, that presence is the foundation of every appearance on the Crazy Horse Paris stage.

What does Crazy Horse Paris represent to you?

Crazy Horse Paris embodies female power. Our bodies belong to us, and the strength is within us. To me, it also represents sisterhood, through this group of women who radiate confidence and courage. And then there is the house itself : so elegant, so chic. That is what immediately drew me in. To know that I was chosen to represent such a demanding institution is an honour.

Sometimes a femme fatale, sometimes playful and mischievous, how do you approach the different roles in Totally Crazy!?

I studied singing, dancing and acting because I wanted to become a complete artist. For me, it’s wonderful to be able to slip into the skin of the different characters in the show and bring my acting skills to the stage. I already embody the role of a “Femme Fatale,” but I’m looking forward to playing others, such as the cheerful Good Girl or a more tormented character. Crazy Horse Paris gives us a great deal of freedom in that respect, and that is what makes every performance so different.

What do you want to convey to the audience when you dance on the Crazy Horse Paris stage?

Crazy Horse Paris stage creates a strong sense of intimacy with the audience. You can really see people, look them in the eye and connect with them. The audience is an integral part of the experience. I hope people leave feeling inspired and empowered. This show celebrates the beauty of the human body, the power of women and self-confidence. It puts the beauty of shape and movement in the spotlight, and invites everyone to look at the body with freedom and kindness, without taboos.

Do you have a ritual before going on stage?

First, I take the time to do my makeup carefully. Then I go and warm up on stage behind the curtain. I love hearing the buzz of the audience before the show. You can hear champagne corks popping, excited conversations… Little by little, the anticipation builds among the audience, and it fuels my desire to give them an unforgettable experience.

Can you tell us about Undress to Kill, in which you are one of the soloists?

Undress to Kill is a true exercise in stage presence. It relies on intention, confidence and the ability to captivate the audience while remaining completely poised. It’s a fascinating solo to begin with because it prepares me to bring that confidence and presence into every number I perform. With every show, I make this irresistible femme fatale more and more my own. I love playing with her dramatic side.
