PROLONGATION UNTIL NOVEMBER 22ND !
From September until December 2012, Crazy Horse Paris will present Forever Crazy, the most avant-garde cabaret that has been seducing Parisian audiences for over sixty years. Forever Crazy is a sophisticated and unique production staged in a purpose-built, luxurious venue on « London's South Bank ».
Celebrating femininity, sensuality and creativity, Forever Crazy was conceived as a tribute to Alain Bernardin, the founder of the Crazy Horse. It fully preserves the cabaret’s artistic heritage while adding a touch of modernity, humour and sophistication. The show consists of distinct choreographed acts, among them legendary Crazy Horse “classics” as well as new, original creations by French star choreographer Philippe Decouflé...
A series of ten aesthetic tableaus performed by a troupe of dazzling dancers; their performances are accentuated by stylish costumes, original music and spectacular, high definition projection and lighting effects. While performing they are bathed in richly coloured and textured lights that are so stunning that it is hard to determine where skin ends and the reflections begin.
“London is a bustling world capital for fashion and entertainment it therefore seemed obvious that one day we present a show here – today we finally have an opportunity. In addition, since over thirty years, every single Crazy Horse Paris show in the world opens with the iconic act “God Save Our Bareskin”, which features Royal Horse Guards with a twist. We can’t wait to present it to English audiences, just a few miles down the road from Buckingham Palace.” Andrée Deissenberg, Le Crazy Horse Managing Director
For their London premiere, Le Crazy Horse bring their seductive blend of peek-a-boo eroticism and innovatively choreographed dance to a stand-alone UK show, Forever Crazy debuts during Autumn's London Fashion Week. This is the perfect launch for the Le Crazy Horse, which has fused French cabaret with high fashion appeal and creation for sixty years - including shoes custom-designed by stiletto superstar Christian Louboutin, corset queen Poupie Cadolle and previous collaborations with designers London’s Mark Fast as well as Karl Lagerfeld, Emmanuel Ungaro, and Azzedine Alaia.
A symbol of Parisian life, art, fashion and sensuality, Forever Crazy showcases the best of Le Crazy’s six decades of ground-breaking entertainment in an exceptional 90 minute show on the cutting edge of art and entertainment and presents itself as a unique kaleidoscope of beauty, grace, passion and precision.
Celebrating the awe-inspiring heritage that has made Crazy Horse a household name, all of the style, glamour, sophistication and mystique of the Paris venue will be recreated inside an antique Belgium mirrored Spiegel tent. The intimate venue will accommodate a maximum of 450 guests in plush cabaret style seating, and will be equipped with four bars, a large reception area, and all the trimmings you’d expect on a firstclass night out.
“I’m thrilled to be bringing Paris’ most avant garde cabaret to London’s Southbank. Although Le Crazy has been running since 1951; the creative team behind the show have kept it avantgarde, relevant yet still mesmerising. We hope you enjoy the show.”
Harvey Goldsmith CBE.
